Hear. The Youth.
Everyone wants something from young people: attention, votes, or for them to "behave". At The Youth, we flip the mic. We don’t talk about the youth; we talk with them. We operate where culture, creativity, and technology hit. We don’t follow trends; we make them. Not "safe," but sharp, curious, and hyper-present.
As an Account Manager at The Youth Agency, you are the navigator between the client and the culture. You see where brands get stuck trying to reach the "main track," and you know how to move them forward. You don’t just sell; you build partnerships that bridge the gap between business ambitions and real youth perspective.
What you’ll be doing:
- Navigate the gap: You identify where organizations struggle to connect with young generations and translate their goals into strategies that actually resonate.
- Architect partnerships: You develop trajectories where strategy, research, creation, and youth culture reinforce each other, moving beyond short-term fixes to long-term impact.
- Lead the vision: You bring structure to complex questions and aren't afraid to speak your truth, ensuring our collective is deployed at the right moment for maximum effect.
- Drive activation: You actively contribute to campaigns, programs, and partnerships, turning client needs into creative and strategic proposals that add real value.
- Build the network: You maintain deep relationships and actively network to make The Youth visible and relevant for new collaborations.

Who you are:
- Experienced Account Manager: You have at least 5 years of experience as an Account Manager, Client Lead, or Business Developer, preferably at an agency or in a similar sector.
- Driven & energetic: You are commercially minded with a positive energy that inspires both the team and our partners.
- Naturally curious: You are genuinely interested in the stories behind brands and the people who run them.
- Cultural fluency: You understand youth culture and its codes without needing them explained.
- Communicative: You are fully proficient in Dutch and English, and you know how to pitch your ideas effectively to both the team and our clients.
What you get:
- A salary between €3.900 and €4.900 gross (based on 40 hours), depending on experience.
- A base in the heart of Rotterdam, with the flexibility to work from home.
- A small, sharp, and multidisciplinary team where we move as a collective
- 25 vacation days, a pension scheme, and an NS Business Card if you live outside Rotterdam.
- Daily lunch at the office, Handpicked shares, team outings, and events like the Handpicked Festival.
